100-fold Harvest

This weekend i went (grudgingly) to a Beth Moore conference with my mom. it was simulcast from Louisville Kentucky, and although I have heard Beth Moore speak before, this was incredible. She spoke about the parable of the sower in Luke 8:1-15, about what kind of hearers of the Word we all are; and how to live lives that will reap a 100-fold harvest. Amazing conference and I walked away feeling blessed and convicted for being the seed with shallow roots and the seed choked out by life's worries. However, the thing that struck me the most was the fact that this happens so often- we go to a conference or retreat, or camp and we come home so excited about the Lord, but then what? we lose it! the daily grind, the commitment to actually reading the Bible every single day, we slip away and forget the things God placed on our hearts.
Lord, break that chain in me right now. Let my life continue to grow and multiply til I bring a 100-fold harvest in for you!
i'll write more about this later, but i need to feed my fiance, he grows hungry and grumbly...

flatline

Ivy hanging
IV's hanging
Fresh rain dripping
Fresh blood dripping
The clean smell of summer
The clean smell of ammonia
Fireflies glowing
Ambulance lights
Lighting up the night
The quiet breeze through the green carpet of forest
The quiet hush that falls over the ER as a surgeon slowly approaches
A new flower blooms
A new life is born
A leaf falls
A flatline...
